Certified for Impact: Amplify Alliance Recognised as a Social Enterprise

Creating social impact through trade and reinvesting in the Not for Profit sector.

National certification recognises Amplify Alliance’s commitment to creating social impact through trade and reinvesting in the Not for Profit sector.

Amplify Alliance Australia is proud to announce that we are now a Certified Social Enterprise, recognised under Australia’s national social enterprise certification standard administered by Social Traders.

For our Members, this certification reinforces something they already know: our purpose is to empower our Members to change lives; strengthening the Not for Profit (NFP) sector and supporting organisations delivering human and social services create greater impact in their communities.

In the past year alone, Amplify Alliance reinvested more than $1.2 million into pro bono and low bono services for Members through advocacy, workplace relations support, representation, training, events and sector engagement activities.

“I feel incredibly proud of what this certification represents. It reflects a simple idea: when we invest in strengthening the organisations serving our communities, the impact ripples far beyond any one organisation.

This certification recognises that our purpose and our business model are one and the same — creating social impact by helping others create social impact,” shares Debra Cerasa, CEO of Amplify Alliance Australia.

As a Member-led organisation, every dollar we generate is directed back into supporting the NFP sector.

Whether advocating for better policy settings, building organisational capability, navigating workplace relations challenges, or creating opportunities for collaboration and learning, our focus remains the same: ensuring our Members are best equipped to support the social and economic participation of the individuals they serve.

This certification also reflects our growing commitment to Australia’s social enterprise ecosystem.

Across our network, many organisations are exploring social enterprise models to diversify revenue, create employment opportunities and strengthen long-term sustainability.

As both a national peak body and (now) a Certified Social Enterprise, we are uniquely positioned to connect frontline experience with policy, advocacy and practical support that helps NFP organisations thrive.

“Achieving Social Traders certification reinforces our commitment to reinvesting in a stronger, more sustainable Not for Profit sector and highlights the important role social enterprise plays in creating lasting social and economic value,” shares Debra Cerasa, CEO of Amplify Alliance Australia.

As Australia continues to recognise the role social enterprises play in creating employment, strengthening communities and addressing complex social challenges, Amplify Alliance will continue to work alongside Members, partners and stakeholders to strengthen the social enterprise ecosystem and create lasting social impact.

We look forward to continuing to work alongside Members, partners and stakeholders to strengthen a sector that creates jobs, builds community connection and improves lives across Australia.
